From July 2028: VAT on tourist rentals in Spain, even without the provision of additional services!
From August 2024, stricter rules will apply to tourist rentals. At least 60% of owners and voting rights must give permission. Only entire homes may be rented out. Medium-term rentals (11 days - 11 months) will continue to be allowed without a permit. Non-compliance can lead to fines of up to €600,000. The rules are intended to regulate tourism and deter illegal rentals.
